Project: In Gotha, Friedenstein Palace and its holdings have preserved a unique ensemble with its historical representation rooms from the Baroque and Classicism periods, the Ekhof Theatre and equally diverse and rich art-historical, historical, and natural history collections, which are presented in three museums in the palace (Palace Museum, Historical Museum, Museum of Nature) and in the Ducal Museum. Here, Baroque and Enlightenment thinking can be superbly comprehended.

In Gotha, Thuringia's residential culture becomes exemplarily visible, which, with its rich palace landscape, represents a unique characteristic for Thuringia. The funding includes, among other things, a joint supra-regional cultural tourism marketing of Thuringia's Treasury, a cooperation of various castle partners in Thuringia, the expansion of the event format of the Thuringian Castle Days, as well as an active approach towards cultural and study tour organisers. The initiative makes Schlösserland Thüringens even more attractive for visitors due to new formats and offers.
