EUROPA Strengthens Research in Thuringia
On September 3rd, everything revolved around the ERDF-funded project "CEEC Jena's Future Concept for Sustainable Energy Storage"..
The CEEC Jena is an interfaculty centre of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and conducts research in the field of efficient, sustainable energy production, supported by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Minister Tiefensee and Prof Dr Ulrich S. Schubert, Director of the research centre at Friedrich Schiller University, discussed the development state, the building extension, and the institute's worldwide trailblazing successes at the location and in cooperations on the occasion of the Europe Day on September 3rd, at CEEC Jena.
Ulrike Kaiser, CEEC employee about its work:
"Within the framework of CEEC Jena's future concept for sustainable energy storage, the structures of CEEC Jena must be expanded and consolidated. Trough the expansion of coordination and by targeted support of the keylabs (four general-oriented units "Upscaling", "Lab-to-fab", "Electrochemistry", "Morphology/Characterisation" as well as the three special labs "Solar Batteries", "Redox-Flow Batteries (RFB)" and "Printed Organic Radical Batteries (ORBs)", CEEC Jena is to be further expanded and research into next-generation batteries advanced."
The European Regional Development Fund supports research and development with a total of up to 5.2 million euros.
