11 - 14 October 2021 – Join us for the 19th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities

Once again, preparations are underway for the most significant annual EU Cohesion Policy event, the European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek). Potential partners were invited to apply at the kick-off event on 28 January 2021. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the event will take place virtually this year.

 

The slogan for this year's edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities is "Together for Recovery". The preparations for the event are already in full swing. The kick-off event on 28 January served as an opportunity for the two co-organisers, the European Commission's Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy and the European Committee of the Regions, to invite potential partners to apply and to present the main features and novelties of the 2021 edition as well as the key milestones.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the event will take place virtually this year. Depending on the evolution of the hygiene measures, there might be a possibility of limited presence.

This year's #EURegionsWeek will be centred around the following four topics:

  • Green Transition: for a sustainable and green recovery
  • Cohesion: from emergency to resilience
  • Digital Transition: for people
  • Citizens' engagement: for an inclusive, participative and fair recovery
